GIVE YOUR TIME

One person can influence hundreds of lives.  Volunteers are integral to The Prom Queens Project success in making prom a reality for disadvantaged teenagers. In conjunction with The Prom Queens Project, volunteers will enrich prom experiences for Central New Jersey teenage girls. Join us to Create (or re-live!) prom memories by volunteering at The Prom Queens Project Boutique Giveaway. We hope we have a chance to work with you at one of our events!

VOLUNTEER FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Who can volunteer at PQP? We invite all women, ages 18 and older and out of high school to volunteer as a personal shopper during the actual give away. If you’re in high school and would like to participate in The Prom Queens Project as a volunteer, we welcome your support during our set-up or tear-down times, as well as by Hosting a dress drive at your school!

How do I volunteer? Click the volunteer link below to register as a volunteer.

As a volunteer, what will my responsibility be? As a PQP volunteer, you will be expected to be a "Jill of All Trades!" You may be responsible for serving as a personal shopper, accessories associate, dress collection spiffer-upper, or check-out helper. There’s lots to do, and the most important thing you can be is flexible and helpful!

You will be asked to carefully read and sign our volunteer waiver each day you volunteer.

Will I work directly with the teens who are shopping? All volunteers will have an opportunity to interact with our guests.

What do I wear? Most importantly…comfortable shoes and ALL BLACK casual attire, as you will be on the move!  Please lock your purse and other personal items in your car trunk, as we do not have storage.

Is there anything else I should know as a volunteer? We ask that you remember that this event is ALL ABOUT the teens we serve! Smile, be polite, be encouraging, and be supportive. It is not our role to judge on any level - dress color, style, fit - but you may suggest!
